Peter Cavell
Peter is a composer, writer, actor, pianist, and sound artist...in no particular order.   He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Music, majoring in composition, and completed a Masters degree in composition at the University of Victoria in 2006.   He is currently based in London, Ontario.

Some of Peter’s recent creative projects include his short play Lead Us Not Into Temptation (2008 Grand Theatre Playwrights’ Cabaret), the one-man show As I Was Going Up the Stair (2007 London One-Act Festival, awarded Best Male Actor in a Lead Role), and the award-winning original musical The Devil Loves to Haggle with Jonathan De Souza (2003 London Fringe Festival).

Other theatrical credits include Getting Married (Inke Poding Theatrics), As You Like It and Henry V (UWO Summer Shakespeare), and The Yeomen of the Guard (Musical Theatre Productions).  Cavell has also worked with the Victoria Shakespeare Society, as composer and musical director for their 2005 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and was a member of the Theatre Orangeville Young Company in 1998.

During summer 2008, Peter will be touring his one-man show Walking the Labyrinth to the Toronto and Ottawa Fringe Festivals, as well as producing and performing in the world premiere of his original musical, Death!, in the London Fringe Festival.  In addition, the Canadian National Conservatory of Music will be publishing one of Peter’s compositions in their repertoire book Northern Lights 3A in July.

Peter's interests include creating experimental yet accessible interdisciplinary works that combine drama, music, words, sound, and (sometimes) humour.
